Some of you may have noticed the change in my name. Years ago I changed my name from Guillaume d'Avignon to Gabirel de Ariçabalaga because it was a more authentic name for a Basque. Well, after a long time of research (Do yourself a favor, NEVER REASERCH BASQUE NAMES. Save yourself. It's too late for me!) and with a lot of help, I came to find out that de Ariçabalaga was a SPANISH Basque name and not a French Basque name. So, after talking myself out of committing hari-kari, I dove back into the information black hole that is researching Basque names. The new name and title in proper, Iparralde (Northern) Basque is:
Juan Gabirel Otxoa d'Ibaturri.
Juan: Basque for "Lord"
Gabriel: The name you all know me by but now it is properly pronounced like "Gabrielle". In Basque the feminine form is "Gabriella".
Otxoa: Basque for "Wolf." I've always had a wolf on my arms and I ain't changing it now!
d'Ibaturri: Basque for "Of the River Ardour."
More than you wanted to know, I'm sure LOL! Just don't reasearch it. Heads do not feel good when they explode. _________________ -Gabriel

That would explain this sticky mess....
I feel your pain over research. Thank goodness for Google Translate! However when you consider the Poles routinely spelled names how they liked, rather than by a language standard, it gets messy for me too..
duct tape, sponge and Excedrin for everyone!

Great job on the research. You go hero. _________________ "The only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke |
