Her Highness has asked me to serve as her champion. She has a Christian Saxon persona. She will need guards for Her entrance into court. I will be escorting Her in as Her champion, and I will be wearing my St Olaf tunic. She will need more guards, but I don't know how many at this time. Please bring any St Olaf tunics you have to Coronation.
His Highness wants all other fighter who can to attend Him in court. Here is the invitation He posted:
I invite all the Chivalry of Trimaris, on the morning of September 4th, to stand with me should our Kingdom find itself suddenly leaderless. I also invite your squires and men-at-arms to augment our numbers. I would like the populace to witness a spectacle worthy of the celebration of our Kingdom's 25th year so I hope to have as many warriors as possible in attendance.
I want all who attend me to be outfitted like warriors so I would like any who can to bring dress weapons and shields and wear whatever dress armor they may have. Our theme is turn of the century Anglo-Saxon so chain-mail is preferred over plate. Not all warriors wore armor though so it is not necessary. Swords, spears, axes, mauls, round or kite shields are all perfect. If you can bring an extra weapon for someone else that would be great. The ceremony will be extremely simple and short with just a little shtick. We will begin immediately after step-down so plan on attending at least some of last court. I thank you all for any assistance you can render.

I knew my collection of armor would come in handy some day. No need to ask me twice to wear the shiny armor. I do have the chainmaille armor should one of our members without armor like to borrow it for court. I can also lend the melee suit arms, shoulders and leg armor. _________________ Lord David of the Vayle

Sure but why not wear your suit of plate. It's a great harness. One of the top 10 best in the kingdom. Me, you, Almeric all in plate, it's always a nice sight to behold. But sure you can borrow it. Shirt? Legs? Gauntlets? Macoif? The chain sabotons are over size 10 sneakers. All? _________________ Lord David of the Vayle

I'm glad t see the enthusiasm, however the new reign will be 1000 AD. Plate may not be the best choice. _________________ "The only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke |

Knee's back to 98%, and only reminding me it's there when I do something stupid. I'm giving it until after Pennsic until I start practicing again. |
